Big Block Engine Installation Kit For all Dodge pickups, 100-350, Ramchargers, Traildusters, 2 & 4 wheel drive from 1972-1993. Will not fit trucks from 1987-1993 that originally came with 3.9 V-6 engine.
This kit gives you the ability to install a 383, 400, or 440 Mopar engine into your Dodge/Mopar truck, doesn't matter which size engine is presently installed. The Basic kit comes complete with all components that are different when using a donor car engine and installing it into a truck. The engine mounting brackets will work with 2 & 4 wheel drive applications, which also have added clearance for use with high volume oil pumps.
Kit comes with an overview of all items desireable to use and fitment items that will be the best to use on 1972-1993 Trucks.
This Basic Big Block installation kit includes: 6 quart Rear Sump Oil Pan (Pan Depth at rear is approx. 6"), matching oil pump pickup, Special Stainless Braided oil level indicator & tube, drain plug with gasket,Pair of Engine Insulators (Rubber Mounts) and both engine mounting brackets and fasteners. This kit works on both 2 & 4 wheel drive Trucks.
For 8 Quart Oil Pan Package, 9001D. Which has a 8 Quart Rear Sump Oil Pan (Pan Depth at rear is approx. 8"), and Matching Pickup
1- WILL NOT WORK ON TRUCKS THAT ORIGINALLY CAME WITH V6 ENGINES (1987 & later)
2- Works with all trucks that came with Slant 6, 318, 360, 400, and 440 Engines
3-Some installations will require smaller BPE Power Brake Booster
4-Car Manifolds will not generally work without doing MAJOR hack Job on Frame rails.
5-5905 Headers work well with 2 & 4 WD vehicles
6-When Installing a Big Block where a Small block was previously, Transmission Bell housing is different, Check with us for Further Details.
7-Pic is of 8 Quart pan, 6 Quart pan very similar .
8-Neither Pan Kit 9001D & 9001S have had any issue with ground clearance on normal trucks in the past
